About News Dealt

News Dealt is a demo and side project exploring whether AI can turn today's news into a fast, readable briefing. Pick a few topics from the deck, deal your hand, and see what comes back.

The project currently runs entirely within free-tier infrastructure and APIs for search and summarization, which shaped some of the original plans:

• Letting you build your own custom agents instead of only using the default deck
• Refreshing automatically every hour instead of every six hours
• Expanding the deck with more topics to choose from

All of those ideas are still on the table. They simply require additional paid API capacity to run reliably at greater scale, which isn't the right fit for a side project or budget available.

For now, this is what the idea looks like while staying entirely within free-tier limits.
